Roads have been upgraded, tourism is booming and the boisterous Vietnamese spirit is alive. One of the most beautiful countries in South East Asia, in the north, Vietnam shares the long borderline with China. In the east, Vietnam is bordered by the Gulf of Tonkin, in the east and south by the south China Sea, in the south west by the Gulf of Thailand, and in the west by Cambodia and Laos. Vietnam is a phoenix arisen and although the war has left its scars, today Vietnam is a far cry from what it was. Now lush paddy fields, powder white beaches, tailoring and respected pagodas draw the crowds to this bustling and infectious country.
Vietnam is a country on the move both metaphorically and literally. Less than forty years since the violence of the American War, this spirited nation is full of hope and rebuilding their growing and ever thriving country with buoyant energy once more.
