Our TruBabe Heidi Tells us about what motivates her to travel the world. Here she reveals her top travel quotes which highlight the excuses that we all think of when in doubt about going away. I am sure we can all relate to the truth behind them!

Travel Quotes to get you pumped up for your next big adventure!

“You don’t have to be rich to travel well." – Eugene Fodor

This is one of my favourite quotes because, well, it is so true! Too many people think you need a tonne of money to travel, but they couldn't be more wrong! Travelling is so different to going on a luxury holiday, where you spend ridiculous amounts on over priced hotels and visiting expensive restaurants. Personally, I enjoy staying in budget hostels where you make heaps of fab new friends, eat exotic street food & get peculiar modes of transport. Aren’t these the funny memories you want to remember? These also cost a fraction of what you would pay on ‘luxury’ holidays! Of course everyone has a preference of how budget or not they would feel comfortable traveling, but when thinking ‘I will never be able to afford to travel’ think about that extra cup of coffee you bought last week, or that top you bought online. Did you really need it? Instead start saving that money and you will find it incredible how quickly you see your bank balance rising!

“Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and enjoy the journey.” – Babs Hoffman

I also love this quote because I know everyone goes through difficult times and always has excuses about why they shouldn't go traveling. But what’s your next excuse going to be? Your mum’s birthday? Need to keep up with the footie? Why don’t you think about what YOU really want to do and start doing it. We have an incredible thing called technology in this world. You can still stay in touch with people when you are away and keep up with all the latest gossip...whilst having the time of your life! Only you can make it happen and the rest will fall into place. Remember
worrying will not change the situation. It will not make things better, nor will it make things happen. The world is your oyster so start making your plans today!

A quote that reads 'Say yes to new adventures' in black and white

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” – Neale Donald Walsch

We all remember how nervous we felt at our first day of school. Or that first day starting a new job. But I’m sure you also remember that it does get better and you probably now look back and laugh at how nervous you were. Everyone is in the same boat so just embrace every opportunity that arises and remember that you’re not alone. After going to Asia, I caught the infectious travel bug which has so far served me well since I have now seen some beautiful parts of the world! These quotes really sums up how going away makes you relish the opportunities in the world, so why not make the most of it!

“Nobody can discover the world for somebody else. Only when we discover it for ourselves does it become common ground and a common bond and we cease to be alone.” – Wendell Berry

I love this quote because before you go traveling your perception of the world is based on what you see on social media. We have all felt that jealousy watching our friends have the time of their lives on their backpacking adventures. Or travel photo's being plastered all over our Facebook news feed and we sit there thinking, 'when will it be my turn?'. But until you go and check it out for yourself, you can never really appreciate the incredible world we live in. Yes photos are amazing, but nothing compares to actually putting yourself in the pictures and experiencing it with your own eyes! So go on, stop staring at that screen and get out there!

“Don’t tell me how educated you are, tell me how much you traveled.” – Mohamed

We all know those people that got the highest marks in class. Or the most amount of swimming badges in school. But are they really going to be fun people to be around? And does that even make them happy? I personally love hearing about all the incredible places in this world, or people's most embarrassing travel stories which turn into some of the best memories. Of course it’s an achievement to get an education. But honestly, there is so much more out there! Which is why this quote is so inspiring to everyone. Finish ya education and get your self on that ‘Gap yaaaaaaaar’.

A quote that reads ''Explore, Dream, Discover''

“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” - Martin Buber

My final favourite quote is this one, because no matter how much research you do about a place & no matter how many reviews you read, there are so many hidden treasures out there! When you go travelling, you are bound to get lost and go ‘off the beaten track’. All I would advise to do is not worry, explore as much as you can, and make the most of every opportunity that comes about! As cheesy as it sounds, you only live once, so make the most of it!!
