Digital Marketing Manager

Location: Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom

Founded in London by entrepreneurs who grew tired of the rat race, our job is to provide life changing group travel experiences for backpackers and young adults in amazing destinations (Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos & Sri Lanka).

This role will report directly to the General Manager of TruTravels and lead the strategy and execution of all digital marketing. This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a highly visible role and positively impact on the business as a member of the Management team.

Role Description

  • Work with the General Manager to develop global KPIs for all digital media channels
  • Develop strategies for promoting our products and brand through our paid channels
  • Execute campaigns in the UK and key global markets in a timely and effective manner
  • Manage PPC accounts in Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram maximizing ROAS within budget requirements
  • Issue weekly and monthly reports pertaining to Paid Media campaigns, outlining performance, revenue and applicable relevant metrics
  • Be an innovator, someone who loves to test and trial new initiatives and share learnings with the team
  • Work closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure display, social, affiliate creative is optimized, innovative and effective
  • Lead the social media strategy and work with the team to bring it to live across all relevant platforms
  • Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key media partners and agencies
  • Work closely with the web development agency to ensure that landing pages are optimized for conversion
  • Actively contribute to the team in a collaborative and meaningful way that helps support, inspire and motivate fellow colleagues and managers alike


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, travel and tourism, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing on either the client or agency side
  • Passionate about all things digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of various paid media platforms (Google Search, Display & YouTube, Facebook / Instagram, Affiliate marketing)
  • Google Ad certification would be an asset
  • Experience setting campaign goals, KPIs
  • Proven track record of improving paid media ROI and implementing best practices
  • Proficient in the use of Google analytics and using to drive digital marketing insights
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships and negotiations
  • Experience with budget management
  • Problem solver, ability to learn on your own or as part of a team, and stay on top of the latest digital marketing trends
  • Experience with small/mid- size entrepreneurial environment with high growth
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
