Visa requirements often change and it is always worth checking your local government website for the most up to date information.
There are no mandatory vaccinations for most travellers. We always recommend speaking to your local doctors. We're not medically trained, so we can't give official advice on vaccines you need/don't need.
Greece's weather is incredible from April to September! We're talking long, sunny, hot days perfect for island hopping, exploring and aperols in the sun.
There is no bad time to visit Greece but we'd say visiting between April to September will give you the ultimate Greek experience! July and August tend to the be the busiest months to visit and this is also when the heat peaks, so if this isn't for you we'd suggest going early or later in the season.
We'd recommend tipping around 10% of the bill at restaurants and bars. This isn't essential, but it is a nice gesture. Your guide will be able to advise you more on tipping customs when you are exploring the country.
You’ll have no problem finding ATMs in cities and towns across Greece. We'd recommend getting a a travel card before you leave for your trip (Monzo and Revolut are great options.) The most reliable ATMs tend to be from major Greek banks such as Alpha Bank, Piraeus Bank, and the National Bank of Greece but your Tru Leader will be able to help you with finding the best atms with the lowest charges.
Tap water is largely okay to drink in major cities like Athens and Thessaloniki. In more rural areas and on some islands that we will visit, the quality may be less reliable. It is alwasy best to check with your guide and even consider stcking to bottled water to be safe!
Yes! Greece is very safe to visit. As with anywhere, we'd always recommend being aware of your surroundings and being alert to petty crimes and toursit scams in busy areas.
