No trip to Bangkok is complete without a tuk tuk ride. Hold on tight as we zip through the city's buzzing streets, horns honking and neon flashing past.
Leave the noise behind and kayak across the peaceful waters of Khao Sok in search of wildlife. Your chance to slow down, reconnect with nature and see Khao Sok at its wildest.
Step out of your comfort zone and test your grit. Strap on the gloves for an authentic Muay Thai workout: high-energy, totally empowering, and guaranteed to show you what you're capable of.
You made it. Get settled in Bangkok, meet the rest of your group and try your first portion of mango sticky rice. Once the whole crew has arrived, we head out together for dinner, then maybe on to the bustling Khao San Road.
After breakfast, we're off to travel along the Chao Phraya River, cruising past the sights of Thailand's capital. We keep it cultural with visits to two temples, Wat Arun and Wat Pho, and zip through the streets on a tuk tuk ride. The rest of the day is yours: try Bangkok's famous shopping, and bring your best bartering skills.
Ready to relax? After breakfast, we're treating you to a world-class Thai massage, well earned after a busy few days. We also get hands-on at the Baang Lam Phu Project eco-workshop. Then, nice and zen, we climb aboard the sleeper train and roll through the night towards Khao Sok National Park. Snacks, bunks and a proper rite of passage.
Welcome to Khao Sok, a TruTravels favourite. Home tonight is a floating bungalow on a freshwater lake, wrapped in chirping rainforest and limestone mountains. Grab a kayak and paddle out across the still water in search of wildlife. Lunch and dinner are sorted, so all you need to do is soak up one of the most iconic stays in Thailand.
Time to meet our favourite beach in the world. Bottle Beach on Koh Phangan is quiet, beautiful and only reachable by boat. After breakfast we head over, then spend the afternoon swimming, snorkelling and playing volleyball. In the evening, it's dinner and cocktails on the sand by the campfire, with our own private fire show lighting up the beach.
Your morning, your call: go kayaking, top up the tan, trek up to the Bottle Beach viewpoint or enjoy a lie-in. In the early afternoon we're collected and taken to a local gym to try Muay Thai, Thailand's national sport. Gloves off, we head to our new home on Koh Phangan, where we spend the final nights of the trip.
Today we take to the water, hopping between some of Koh Phangan's top snorkelling spots and best beaches, with lunch included along the way. Island-hopping, taken up a level. As the moon rises over the sand, we hit the beach bars together for one final big night to send the adventure off in style.

The trip begins in Bangkok and finishes in Koh Phangan.
You will need to fly into Suvarnabhumi (BKK) which is the main international airport or alternatively you can fly in to Don Muang (DMK).
Airport transfers to the start location are not included.

The closest airport is Koh Samui (USM) which is a 45 minute ferry ride away from Koh Phangan. The ferries run regularly. There are also other means of travel that our group leaders will be able to help you arrange.
As of the 1st of May 2025, travellers will have to register for a Digital Arrival Card. Your registration will have to be submitted online within 3 days before your arrival in Thailand. Upon completion you will receive a confirmation email, which will have to be presented at immigration.
No it is not included but we can assist you with booking it all. You will need to get a joint ticket which consists of a ferry from Koh Phangan to the mainland and then a bus to Bangkok. The cost is around £37/USD $47. Please be aware this can be quite a long journey of around 12 hours door to door. Alternatively, you can fly from Koh Samui which is a 45 minute ferry ride away from Koh Phangan however this option is more expensive and would cost in the region of £100/USD $130 but saves time.
The accommodation for this trip is all twin share private rooms. Doubles can be provided upon request for couples.
