The day has arrived for your adventure of a lifetime to commence. Arrive anytime at Denpasar airport where you will be met by your group leader and taken to our lovely accommodation located in Canggu. Once checked in you will be able to chill next to the rooftop pool or explore the town and beaches located just a few minutes from our hotel before meeting the rest of the group for welcome dinner and drinks in the evening.
Today we dive deep into the local culture of Bali visiting 2 of it’s most famous temples - Taman Ayun - the beautiful garden temple and Tanah Lot - Bali’s most famous temple in the sea. Grab a cheeky cocktail and enjoy relaxing at a funky beach bar lounge while the sun goes down before heading out for a big night on the town.
Top Tip: Don't forget to pack trousers and a t-shirt to cover your shoulders to show your respect when you visit the temples.
Time to test your surf skills as we grab a board and hit the beach in Kuta Bali for some fun in the sun. Teamed up with our local surf instructors, don't worry if you have never surfed before as our you'll be surfing like a pro by the end of today. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon on one of Bali’s beautiful beaches sunbathing with a refreshing coconut or chilling out with the group topping up your tan at the hotel's rooftop pool. After we've freshened up we'll head out for a delicious dinner and a couple drinks if you fancy.
Today we say farewell to the beaches and head inland to the arts and culture capital of Bali, the vibrant jungle town of Ubud. Along the way, we will cool off at Bali’s most southern waterfall, Tegenungan and get your Insta worthy snaps after having a splash around in the freshwater. We'll arrive to our cool hotel this afternoon where we'll be for the next 3 nights. Have a dip in the pool before getting ready to head out for an evening of live music, singing & dancing at one of Ubud's best bars.
Enjoy the morning exploring Ubud's bustling food market with a local family. Here we will learn about all the ingredients used in everyday Balinese cooking as well as “Canang Sari”, the local offerings made for the Gods. A big part of travelling is diving into the local cuisine so what better way than to take on a cooking class, run by the amazing Wayan and his family, with of course indulging into the food after. Spend the afternoon with Ubud’s cheekiest locals as we venture into the Sacred Monkey forest, where it is believed the monkeys are the protectors of the ancient temples within.
Today we head north to scenic rice terraces of Tegalalang where we will spend the morning taking in the views of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Learn how these beautiful formations still play a very important role in the locals’ present-day way of life. We continue the journey to the region of Kintamani and enjoy lunch overlooking one of Bali’s active volcanoes, Mt. Batur. Finish the afternoon wandering the local market, the perfect place to pick up some souvenirs to remember your trip. Relax by the pool after an action-packed day before heading out with your travel buddies for dinner.
It’s time to get tropical! Today we'll head into pure paradise as we take a ferry then bus to the tiny island oasis of Gili Trawangan. After check-in, enjoy a leisurely afternoon sipping drinks by the pool, topping up your tan or head out to explore what this beautiful island has to offer. Enjoy an epic sunset before heading out to dinner with your group and taking in the incredible nightlife Gili T has to offer.
All aboard! Today we hop on our boat to the small exotic archipelago of the Gili islands, stopping off at some of the best snorkel spots around Gili Meno & Gili Air. Meet the local marine life and explore the coral conservation projects around the islands and make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the nearby turtles passing by. After a beachside lunch on Gili Air, we'll head back to our hotel to freshen up before dinner tonight with the group.
There is no motorised transport on Gili Trawangan so today we set off to explore the island on a pushbike. Enjoy cycling throughout the island discovering its tranquil beachfront, activities and unearth a piece of the islands history on Gili’s only viewpoint…the remnants of an old WWII bunker. The perfect way to explore the islands beauty!
Time to get further off the beaten track as we make our way east to the sister island of Bali, Lombok. Taking in the scenic route as we drive south the to beachside surf town of Kuta Lombok. Upon reaching the hotel enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the pool or venture around town to check out the local markets restaurants.
Important Note: The second half of the trip is truly unique and adventurous as we take you to some less travelled and untouched parts of Indonesia, so prepare for a slight change in travel styles!
Start the day off by immersing ourselves in the local customs and cultures of Lombok at the Sasak Village. Dive into their culture as our local guides explain about village life and the traditional weaving techniques handed down from generation to generation. This afternoon will be spent checking out 3 of Lombok scenic waterfalls only accessible by jungle trek. The luscious green jungles, spectacular views, and peaceful surroundings make this an unforgettable experience.
Pack some sunscreen and a towel as today we will visit some of the most pristine beaches Lombok has to offer. If you're a beach lover but enjoy escaping the crowds, there's no doubt you'll fall in love with Lombok's beaches. We'll set off to 2 different locations along the southern coastline where we you will enjoy white sandy beaches, friendly locals and a chance to top up that tan. We'll enjoy a delicious spot of lunch at a local beachside restaurant and grab a surfboard if you fancy ridin' the waves.
Pack up your bags as we travel by bus and ferry to our next location, Sumbawa Island. A far less developed, remote area of Indonesia than we've been to so far, but is an amazing insight into a different part of Indonesia. Check in to our beachfront bungalows and enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the beach or next to the pool before dinner with your travel buddies.
Set off on a day trip to the almost uninhabited island of Moyo. Here the locals will take us on a bike ride into the heart of the island where our they'll show us the hidden gems nestled within the jungle with a chance to swim in the beautiful and untouched waterfalls of Moyo. Some may say this is the highlight of the trip, with the crystal clear waters and untouched falls making this place a special spot to visit. Enjoy lunch on the beach before boarding the boat back home, catching the breathtaking sunset along the way.
Time to set sail as we set off early morning from the mainland on our private live-aboard boat bound for the Komodo Islands. The boat has basic facilities but believe us when we say, this is a really unique experience not only being on a private boat but exploring some of the most scenic islands in the whole of Indonesia. Our first stop of the journey will be Satonda Island for a swim in the salt lake crater and a snorkel around the bay. We finishing off the day with a delicious local meal as the sun sets for our first-night sail.
Wake up to nothing but crystal clear waters and mountainous views in the heart of the Komodo National Park. After breakfast, we'll trek up to the captivating viewpoint on Gili Lawa for a once in a lifetime selfie, before cooling off the sense of accomplishment with a quick swim. Back on board we then sail to Manta Point, gearing up for a majestic snorkel with these docile giants. The afternoon is spent lazing around on the naturally formed sand of Pink beach before our 2nd trek up Padar island for one of Indonesia’s most renowned viewpoints. This evening we'll make the most of our last night on the boat over dinner cooked on board a drink (or two)!
Take a step back in time as you enter the Jurassic world of the Komodos. Here we are greeted by our local guides who inhabit the island before setting off in search of these prehistoric creatures. Take an educational tour of 1 of only 4 islands these creatures inhabit. Our journey then continues east as our time aboard draws to a close. Say our farewells to the Capt & Crew before checking in to our beautiful resort in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Enjoy a farewell dinner and drinks with the group.
