5 PLACES YOU HAVE TO VISIT IN BALI (AND THE SURROUNDING ISLANDS!)

Dreaming of crystal clear water, tropical bliss and having a jungle of a time? If that’s the case then read on.. because you’re heading to Bali and here we are giving you the ins and outs of the best destinations you cannot miss while you’re out there! First up...

CANGGU

If learning about Indonesia's culture is what you're after, there’s no messing around, this is the place for you! Did you know that it’s home to two of the most famous temples in the country? We’re talking about the Royal Temple of Taman Ayun and Tanah Lot, which is only accessible by boat or by foot at very low tide. Not only that but here you’ll find yourself in what's best described as the ‘surfers paradise’ of Indonesia! From beginners to pros, there are waves for everyone. So spend your days riding those waves and your nights at one of our absolute favourites, Finns Beach Club ready to dance the night away with a Bintang or two in hand. Surfs up, you’re going to Caggu!

GILI ISLANDS

Where do we even start? Whether you want to chill, party or a mixture of both, the Gili islands are the place to go. There's not one, not two but three tiny little islands that will all provide you with different experiences you do not want to miss on your next trip to Bali. First up we have the party island of Gili T where you’ll spend your days snorkelling, cycling around and catching the sun down at the epic sunset swings before hitting the strip right on the beach. Sounds like a pretty epic way to spend the day right?

Next up, we have Gili Meno, the smallest of the three, which is best known for its beautiful beaches and sensational scuba diving spots. You can spend your time here relaxing, without a care in the world and visiting the Sea Turtle Sanctuary where you’ll learn all about the importance of these beautiful animals.

Last but not least, we have Gili Air, where (we’ve said it already, and we’ll say it again) exploring the underwater world of the island is a MUST! You know those underwater sculptures that you’ve probably seen hundreds of times on instagram? Well, this is where you’ll find them! Taking part in a local cooking class to learn how to make Indonesia’s national dish Nasi Goreng is also an experience you will definitely want to try!
