We’ve decided as a company that one of the most basic necessities that people need on this planet to survive is water. In a world where access to clean water is a luxury many take for granted, we’ve partnered with Charity Water which stands as an inspiring example of a company dedicated to making a difference. Currently 771 million (or this is the same as 1 in 10) people in the world don’t have clean access to water. They are committed to providing clean drinking water to those in need and are a beacon of hope for countless communities around the globe and have successfully completed over 60,000 water projects across an incredible 29 countries!! Charity Water also provide complete accountability for all projects using techniques like GPS tracking and remote sensors so we know they are doing a tru-ly amazing job at changing lives.
Many communities live in very isolated rural areas meaning it can be a huge challenge to collect water each day. This means that kids take time out of their education and adults take valuable time where they could be working and earning a living, just to get water to survive. The water may often be polluted and cause diseases which can greatly impact their quality of life.
1% of our total revenue helps go towards funding water projects with Charity Water like a handpump in Mozambique which will bring clean water to an estimated 300 people. This specific project helps provide a more long-term solution for access to self sustaining clean water for the community instead of a quick short-term fix and also for those in the greatest need. They provide training and education for the local people about the new water systems which helps to empower them!
