GRECCE TRAVEL ADVICE
THE BEST TIME TO VISIT
Greece has warm, sunny summers and mild winters, making it a fantastic destination much of the year. The peak season (June–August) is hot, and the whole country is buzzing perfect. May, June, and September are arguably the sweet spots, great weather, fewer crowds, and the sea is still warm.
TRANSPORT
Getting around Greece is part of the fun! Ferries are the classic way to hop between islands, and there are loads of routes to choose from. Domestic flights are affordable and save time on longer island hops. On our tours, all transport between destinations is fully arranged, so you can just enjoy every moment!
CUISINE & FOOD
You have to try moussaka and a proper Greek salad (with real feta!) Other must-haves are souvlaki from a street grill, fresh grilled fish, and spanakopita.
VISA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
EU passport holders travel freely in Greece. UK and many other nationalities can visit visa-free for up to 90 days within the Schengen Area. Always check the latest entry requirements on your government's official travel website before you travel!

You’ll have no problem finding ATMs in cities and towns across Greece. We'd recommend getting a a travel card before you leave for your trip (Monzo and Revolut are great options.) The most reliable ATMs tend to be from major Greek banks such as Alpha Bank, Piraeus Bank, and the National Bank of Greece but your Tru Leader will be able to help you with finding the best atms with the lowest charges.
