INDIA TRAVEL ADVICE

Backpackers from Trutravels Group Jaipur City Palace

THE BEST TIME TO VISIT

Generally, October to March is the most popular time, cooler temperatures and mostly dry weather make it ideal for exploring cities, temples, and the countryside. Summers can be extremely hot, and the monsoon (June-September) brings heavy rains to much of the country.

FLIGHTS & TRANSPORT

India has an extensive transport network, and trains are the classic way to travel between cities and an experience in themselves! In cities, apps like Uber are reliable for getting around. On our tours, all your transport is arranged so you can focus on soaking everything in!

CUISINE & FOOD

Indian food is one of the most diverse and flavour-packed cuisines on the planet! Look out for butter chicken, biryani, masala dosa, chaat, and samosas. Street food is where it's at, just be smart about where you eat. And wash it all down with a chai, obviously!

VISA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Most nationalities need a visa to enter India, and the e-Visa is the easiest option to apply for online before you travel. Requirements vary by nationality and length of stay, so always check your government's official travel advice and get everything sorted well ahead of your departure date!
