The best time to visit is betwen September to March, the temperatures are cooler then and this makes exploring so much more comfortable! However, anytime of year is great to visit India, if you like the heat, June-August are perfect for that and often have slightly reduced crowds too.
India is a very affordable travel destination. It is a great option if you are travelling on a budget and want your money to stretch far! Booking a tour in India with TruTravels is also a great way to pay for the essentials in advance, so when you get out to India, you only have to pay for the odd meal and any souvenirs you might want!
We recommend 10–14 days to really get to know India. To explore the highlights 14 days is the perfect length but if you want to see the beaches like Goa we'd add an extra week to soak up the sun!
