Colombia Uncovered (2026) - 9 Day Trip
Iconic cities, vibrant street art, insane landscapes, volcano hot springs, coffee straight from the source, and unreal Caribbean beaches.
Ready for 9 days of straight-up Colombian magic?
This TruTravels Colombia tour is packed with everything that makes Colombia 10/10—iconic cities, vibrant street art, insane landscapes, volcano hot springs, coffee straight from the source, and unreal Caribbean beaches.
We kick things off in Medellín. Think street art, local vibes, and Comuna 13’s unreal energy. Then we’re climbing to insane views at El Peñol Rock and sipping on freshly brewed coffee at local farms (don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of taste testing). Next up? Nature mode: hot springs, waterfalls, and hiking through the palm trees of Cocora Valley. We get our game faces on in Salento for a go at Tejo (yep, the one with gunpowder), before flying to the colourful colonial streets of Cartagena. Finish it all off with a day chilling in an Isla Grande beach club. Crystal-clear waters. Top tier vibes. The perfect way to round up the trip of dreams.

medellín exploring

Good morning! We’re throwing ourselves straight into Colombian culture today as we head out to explore Medellín! This city has transformed dramatically over recent years, and it is now one of the most popular cities to visit in South America! First stop - Comuna 13, once known for being one of the most dangerous communities in the world, it has now been completely transformed with famous street art and 10/10 vibes. We'll stop by some of the world-famous murals and, of course, get some photos. After an amazing first day, it’s time to grab dinner and drinks! Today has been a busy day, so it would be rude to end our time here without a beer or two...
el peñol rock and guatape

Today we're getting our endorphin kick! We’re starting the day by climbing 650 stairs up to El Peñol Rock. We know what you’re thinking: ‘That’s your exercise done for the month. ’ The view from the top is next level, it’s one not to be missed and SO worth the climb! Afterwards, we head to Guatape, Colombia’s most colourful town and an Instagram hotspot for all of you who love a pic for the gram. We'll spend the afternoon exploring this town and then head out to explore the local nightlife too!
santa rosa de cabal

This morning we are travelling over to Santa Rosa de Cabal! This town is the gateway to Los Nevados National Natural Park and the perfect base for us to explore Cocora Valley. It'll take us a few hours to reach our next spot, so buy some snacks and get your music ready for some bus karaoke. Once we arrive, you'll have time to chill this afternoon, do whatever you'd like, go and explore or just relax! This evening we're going to some local hot springs, these are world-famous and a must-do do so grab your towels - this is an evening you'll never forget!
cocora valley hiking

Who wants to see some palms? Today we're heading for a hike in Cocora Valley! This awesome location is famous for its super tall palms and amazing hiking routes. We'll spend the morning exploring and soaking in this incredible place. This afternoon we'll travel over to Salento and spend our time exploring and souvenir searching!
local coffee farm visit

Morning! Craving your coffee fix? Well...how about visiting where your favourite energy boost comes from? Today we'll visit a traditional coffee farm and learn all about how the beans are produced and processed. This afternoon we're going out with a bang in Salento. Heard of Tejo? Well, if you haven't, it's basically a traditional Colombian game involving gunpowder...IYKYK!
cartagena walking tour

Today is another travel day, and we're hopping on a flight over to Cartagena. Once we arrive in this city famous for its architecture and yellow buildings, we'll head out on a walking tour to learn all about its history. Our local guide will show us the Walled City and the cool Getsemani district. The local breweries, markets and live music around here make it an amazing place to visit - you'll be dancing in the street in no time.
islas del rosario

It's the final full day on tour...we're not ready to say goodbye! Today is one for the water babies...we're going to Islas del Rosario! We'll spend the day hopping around Islas del Rosario catching sunrays, swimming and soaking in every last minute with this amazing group in this awesome country!
