Customer Experience Assistant (Hybrid, UK)

Location - Kingston, London

Role - Hybrid - 3 days in our UK office in Kingston-upon-Thames with 2 days WFH

 

Are you passionate about travel, adventure and love sales? We're seeking a dynamic and attention to detail orientated Sales Executive to join our team at TruTravels in Kingston. We are looking for someone who is confident in their ability to provide confidence and excitement to travellers who are about to travel out to destinations for the trip of a lifetime! We’re looking for someone who is proactive, passionate about travel as well as sales and wants to combine their love of travel with work! The successful applicant will be based in London and would be happy to be in the office in Kingston Upon Thames, 3 days per week.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be our connectors, creating that first and lasting impression on all customers. You’ll offer relentless customer service by building relationships with our travellers with the aim to simplify life and offer a hassle-free booking service as well as offering continual support during and after their trip. Your knowledge and passion will create a bond with travellers that leaves them feeling confident and excited for their adventure of a lifetime.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepping travellers for their trips with the info they need e.g. advise with visas, flight tips, airport recs and more.
  • Sending warm, engaging welcome emails and guiding customers through their online account area.
  • Jumping on calls to personally welcome new travellers.
  • Following up to collect missing passenger details (flights, insurance, passport info, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting any login/account issues so customers have a smooth pre-departure experience.
  • Keeping all pre-departure pack info up-to-date, accurate and exciting.
  • Sparking and encouraging conversations in group chats and encouraging customers to connect before they meet in real life.
  • Working closely with our global Operations teams to ensure every Tour Leader has what they need for each trip.
  • Being available on live chat and phone to answer questions, solve problems, and provide good vibes.
  • Assisting with post-trip review collection because we love hearing about those unforgettable moments!
  • Supporting any on-tour issues that reach our UK-based HQ with calm, solutions-focused energy.
  • Driving efficiency within the department by spotting gaps, suggesting improvements, and helping us work smarter.

 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (bonus points if it’s travel-related!).
  • A love for travel and a deep knowledge of the destinations we operate in.
  • An outgoing, friendly communicator who can connect with people from all walks of life.
  • Confident on the phone, on email and in live chats… basically, a people person through and through.
  • Detail-oriented with great organisational skills and a proactive, forward-thinking mindset.
  • Always looking for ways to improve how we do things and open to trying new tools and ideas.
  • Ability to stay calm and collected when things get a little too exciting, we work in travel after all!
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to make decisions when needed.

Supplier Relations Coordinator (Philippines)

In this role, you'll be dealing with the design and control of business and supplier relations. Your duties will include but are not limited to conserving quality control and safety measures as well as analyzing and improving organizational processes. What you’ll do:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside our operations, bookings and Tru Leaders team in the UK and Asia.
  • Completing analysis of the employee & personal spending.
  • Working closely with our Suppliers to build new or develop working relationships.
  • Bi-Weekly KPI reports for supplier performance.
  • Weekly/Monthly meetings with the team and management.
  • Implement action plans to improve and develop any underperforming supplier scores.
  • Work closely with the product team to help with new & current product development.
  • Negotiation of rates with new and current suppliers.
  • Helping the company to promote high morale and communicate the company’s operating policies, customer issues and safety measures.
  • Annual contracting and date blocking with Suppliers or DMC’s.
  • Contract terms and conditions with suppliers or DMC’s.
  • Travel to new product destinations for trial tours or R&D trips.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in Operations (Not essential).
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction.
  • Being able to take initiative regarding problem solving and finding/exploring solutions.
  • Must be able to travel at short notice for extended periods (domestically/internationally).
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to actively listen to others and relay information clearly.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and other team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

When You’ll Start:

We’re currently looking for guides to start in August 2025, but we also have casual and seasonal roles available during our peak summer season (December–March). Some of our team guide year-round, while others just jump in for the summer, it's totally up to you!

 

What You’ll Do:

As a Group Leader, you’re the glue of the group – hyping people up, showing them the best of Australia, and making sure everything runs smooth from day one. You'll be leading the fun, the chats, the adventures… and probably a few late-night dance floors too.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be the ultimate host – friendly, approachable and always up for a chat
  • Keep the crew safe, supported and smiling
  • Lead activities like hikes, snorkelling and boat trips
  • Show off your favourite local spots – from sunset viewpoints to beach bars
  • Share stories, cultural bits and travel tips
  • Help with the admin side (expenses, reporting, etc.)
  • Snap some pics and help showcase the adventure on social media
