With the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we would like to reassure you that your safety, health and wellbeing is our top priority. We have a duty to you and to the communities we operate in to ensure that everyone is safe and provided with the most up to date advice regarding the situation in the destinations that we travel in. Because of this, we are always compliant with any FCO (Foreign Commonwealth Office) & WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines regarding travel to our destinations.

 

We have therefore made the difficult, but we feel the necessary decision to suspend

TOURS THROUGH 30th NOVEMBER 2021

LATIN AMERICA

TOURS THROUGH 31st OCTOBER 2021

 

We are offering all customers booked on trips during this time the following -

 

1) Free date change to a later 2021 date or 2022/2023 date.

2) 100% Refund Credit Note that can be used on a future TruTravels tour.

 

I'm sure you can understand this was a very difficult decision for us and we have taken it with your safety in mind. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we reach out to all of our TruFamily. Please bear with us through this challenging time. Frequently Asked Questions

 

 

MY TOUR HAS BEEN SUSPENDED - WHAT HAPPENS?

 

If you have booked a tour scheduled to depart between March 18th 2020 and November 30 2021, you will be provided with a Refund Credit Note valued at 100% of the price paid for your tour and any ancillary services including hotels, and transfers; but excluding airfare and insurance.

 

MY TOUR IS BEYOND THE SUSPENSION DATE - WHAT HAPPENS?

 

If your tour is set to depart outside the suspension window; you may change your destination (or choose a later departure date) free of charge, or receive a Refund Credit Note for money paid for your tour. We will continue to monitor developments and will be in touch with all customers on a priority basis.

 

WHAT IS A REFUND CREDIT NOTE? (RCN)

 

A Refund Credit Note entitles you to rebook your trip or receive a cash refund at a later date (up until the expiry date of the note, 3 years after being issued). It also retains all the financial protection that you had when you originally booked with TruTravels.

 

HOW LONG IS MY RCN VALID?

 

All TruTravels RCN have an expiration date of 3 years from date of issue. So this is the latest point in which we will provide you your refund should you still require one. Alternatively you can rebook your trip for any available date with the credit you have on file.

 

WHY IS MY RCN VALID UNTIL THEN?

 

TruTravels RCN’s are due to expire on January 31st 2021 as that is when our FFI comes to an end so your money is completely financially protected until then. Remember this is the latest we would pay your refund and we hope to pay refunds sooner if we are able to if you cannot travel in the future.

 

CAN I USE MY RCN TO BOOK ON ANOTHER TRIP?

 

Yes definitely. You can use your RCN at any moment to rebook yourself on to a new trip with the value of your RCN. Just contact one of our team at info@trutravels.com to get booked on a new trip.

We know that the last few months have been tough for a lot of our amazing TruFam and TruTravellers from around the world and we want to thank you all for your support and patience. We could not have made it through this without the people around us coming together and showing how awesome they are. For those of you who have not been able to go on your dream trip this year because of the covid situation, we promise that we will get you travelling again as soon as we can safely, and we are now in the process of cautiously opening up some of our routes again. We have all missed doing what we do best and we can't wait to start showing people the time of their lives in paradise again.

 

We are committed to honesty and transparency and we could have done some things better over this period. We want to ensure everyone that we are doing our best in a tough situation to keep everyone happy but also to learn from our mistakes and come out of this situation an even better, more adaptable, more fun company then we were before, and with an even greater capacity to use our company as a force for good in the world.
