ARRIVE IN MANILA

We’ll pick you up from the airport and bring you back to our hotel in the lively district of Makati. Here you’ll meet the rest of your group, and your guide. In the evening, we’ll head out for dinner and drinks to get know one another.

TRAVEL TO PALAWAN & LOCAL LUNCH WITH FAMILY

We’ll fly to Puerto Princesa the following morning - known as the ‘Gateway to Palawan’. We’ll head to Port Barton first - a beautiful, quiet fishing village; stopping to have lunch with a local family, getting a feel for the local culture and cuisine.

Day 3

PORT BARTON ISLAND HOPPING

It’s now time to jump onboard a boat trip, exploring the beautiful islands surrounding Port Barton. We’ll stop at several snorkel spots looking for turtles, view the reef and of course, some amazing beaches. We’ll also stop at a small fishing village for lunch (included) and then in the afternoon, a waterfall visit. We’ll hit the bars in town after dinner.

Day 4

TRAVEL TO EL NIDO & WATERFALLS

Today it’s time to pack your stuff and head to one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines – El Nido! Enjoy a cheeky dip and chill at a waterfall, before getting settled into our El Nido accommodation. We’ll head out for dinner and explore the nightlife in the evening. Breakfast included.

Day 5

EL NIDO ISLAND HOPPING

El Nido is famous for the islands that surround it, so it would be criminal not to get enjoy a boat trip around them. We visit some of the most stunning locations the region has to offer, so make to have that camera charged. We’ll also enjoy a delicious local lunch. We’ll get back to our hotel before sunset, so be sure to grab a drink to watch it. Chill out for a while, before we meet later again for dinner.

Day 6

NACPAN BEACH, ZIPLINE & CASTAWAY EXPERIENCE

It’s time to explore El Nido by land today. First, for the thrillseekers, we’ll zip-line across the ocean to another island on the Las Cabanas Beach Zipline. It’s a lot of fun! After zip-lining we head to Nacpan beach, also known as El Nido’s ‘twin beaches’ to chill out and enjoy some quality beach time. This afternoon we'll escape the tourist trail and head for Daracotan Island to begin our castaway experience. This is a truly unique experience so prepare to be blown away over the next couple days!

We'll be staying in huts made from local bamboo and lumber, fashioned in traditional styles to give an authentic island experience. Elevated 6ft off the ground, they combine comfort with the thrills of beach living and paradisiacal ocean views.

Day 7

SNORKELLING, LOCAL VILLAGE TOUR & COOKING CLASS

Wake up to the sound of waves and the stunning landscape that surrounds us. After breakfast, we'll head off on a piggy beach walk and swim before enjoying a snorkel around the local shipwrecks. After we've cooled off in the emerald sea we'll take a guided tour around the local village. Home to just 88 residents, we'll try some local drinks, snacks, freshly cut coconuts, as well as listening to some fascinating Filipino Island stories along the way. Take in the stunning views as we walk along the remote, untouched beaches before a cooking class upon arriving back at our beach huts. This evening we'll dig into a delicious dinner and have a few drinks around the bonfire to finish the day.

SNORKELLING & TRAVEL TO CORON

Wake up to the sound of the waves and enjoy a chilled morning before we head back to El Nido town at 09:30 am. This afternoon we'll catch a ferry across to Coron and have a night out on the town the group.

ISLAND HOPPING

Today we'll set off on an island-hopping adventure to visit the stunning lagoons and lakes in the area. Cool off in the clear blue sea and take in the rays before heading back to freshen up for tonight's dinner and drinks with the group.

FLY TO CEBU

Board a flight to Cebu, for the second half of your trip. Settle in for our first night in the east islands of the Philippines. Relax in the hotel, then in the evening, enjoy dinner and a few drinks in town.

MOALBOAL & Simala church

Today we pack up and head to our 2nd destination - the seaside town of Moalboal. On the way we stop by the famous Simala Church, a magnificent building that is very popular among the locals. After a bit of a walking tour and history lesson, we continue on to Moalboal where we have a free afternoon to explore the town.

Day 12

SARDINE RUN, SNORKELLING & TURTLES

Moalboal is home to the Sardine Run, you’ll snorkel with millions of sardines, which will glisten as the sunlight reflects off the massive school of fish. Here is one of only two place in the world they’re found in such big numbers. We board a boat for some island hopping, visiting some amazing coral reefs, home to plenty of tropical fish and hopefully see some turtles. Optional diving is available too for those keen. We’ll head out to one of the best bars in town in the evening, to enjoy the local nightlife

KAWASAN WATERFALLS

Today we visit one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the Philippines - Kawasan waterfalls! We’ll spend plenty of time floating downstream and swimming through some of the most amazing scenery you’ll ever see before reaching the falls themselves. Enjoy a lazy evening to recharge before moving to our next destination tomorrow, Siquijor Island.

TRAVEL TO SIQUIJOR ISLAND

Travel across to Siquijor Island, where we will check into our accommodation for the next couple of nights. You will have the rest of the afternoon to chill by the pool or on the beach. For most Filipinos, Siquijor is a mysterious place of witchcraft and the unknown. It’s famous for its mountain-dwelling mangkukulam (healers) who brew traditional ointments for modern ailments. Nowadays though, most popular healing practices include a cocktail in the sunshine.

EXPLORE SIQUIJOR ISLAND

It’s time to explore the island’s highlights and hidden gems. We visit the healers to see what they get up to; then in the afternoon, we’ll have time to check out epic mountain views and waterfalls before finishing the day at the beach in time for sunset.

Day 16

TRAVEL TO SIARGAO ISLAND

Make your way from Siquijor back to the mainland, where we’ll catch a flight across to Siargao, dubbed “The Surfing Capital of the Philippines”. We arrive in the late afternoon, where we check into our final accommodation on the trip. We’ll have dinner, then opt to spend the evening chilling out at the resort/on the beach, or head out for the evening to enjoy the town’s lively nightlife.

Day 17

SURF LESSON AND BEACH DAY

Being the ‘Surfing Capital’ it would be a crime not to grab a board and give it a go yourself. We’ll set you up with a knowledgeable instructor, to teach you the basics, before getting riding some waves. We’ll spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach and enjoying the resort facilities. The night is then yours to spend it how you like, chilled and relaxed, or out on the town.

ISLAND BOAT TRIP

For our final full day, it’s time to board a boat, where we’ll visit three different, beautiful islands off the coast of Siargao Island. We’ll spend the entire day snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters, kicking back on white sandy beaches, and generally enjoying our last full day in Paradise. Seeing as it’s our last night as a group, we will arrange a farewell dinner to cap an awesome 18 days.

CHILLED CHECK OUT

Today is where our adventure together comes to and end. The fun doesn’t have to stop here though. Where does the trip start & Finish?

The trip begins in Manila and ends in Siargao.

WHICH AIRPORT DO I NEED TO FLY INTO?

You will need to fly into Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL). Please note that in order to enter the Philippines you need an onward ticket exiting the country within 30 days or you may not be allowed to board your flight and enter the country.

WHAT IS THE CLOSEST AIRPORT TO THE END DESTINATION?

Sayak Airport, also known as Siargao Airport, is an airport serving the general area of Siargao Island. From here you can catch internal flights to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB), or Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila to fly internationally.

HOW DO I GET BACK TO THE START DESTINATION AND IS THIS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? IF NOT, HOW MUCH IS IT?

You will need to book an internal flight from Siargao to Manila with a possible connection in Cebu. This can be booked for as little as £45 if you book early.

How much is my baggage allowance for the included flight?

All our included flights come with a free 20kg check-in bag. If you have oversize and additional bags to check in you will need to pay for them yourself.

WHAT KIND OF ACCOMMODATION IS INCLUDED ON THIS TRIP?

In general our rooms are all twin/share private. On the Coron Castaway boat trip we sleep in open-air bungalows on the beach, with mattresses and mosquito nets. Beach camping at its finest! Occasionally family style rooms in Siquijor or Siargao, but not often.

HOW MUCH IS A PRE NIGHT’S ACCOMMODATION?

A pre night’s accommodation is £45 for a private twin or double room. If you would like to arrange a pre-night please email info@trutravels.com.
